The Protector

Current version: 1.0
Requires Apple IIgs System 6.0 or later

The Protector is a simple NDA that lets you password lock your Apple IIgs. When invoked, the screen blanks and a dialog box appears requesting the password. The system can't be used again until the password is entered correctly. The Protector even counts how many incorrect login attempts were made, so you know if someone's been trying to guess your password.

Enter the password to get back to work.

Obviously, the Apple IIgs isn't designed to be a secure computer. A simple reboot will bypass The Protector. But it will help keep casual snoops out of your system when you step away from your desk for just a moment.
