Font Redirectory lets you
change the directory from which fonts are loaded by the
Font Manager. You can move your Fonts folder to another
hard disk, even -- even an HFS-formatted one, so you can
use longer, more useful file names for your fonts.
The caveat is that the new name for the Fonts folder has to
be exactly 15 characters. For example, ":My.Disk:Fontsy" is
15 characters long. This restriction is due to the way the
Font Manager works internally.
This is a way you can use a ton of fonts that take up a lot
of disk space, without filling your entire boot disk with
them.
